Floating Fake Ice Cubes

Here's a still shot of our new floating ice cubes in water. They're currently available from our web site, and later this week they can be found at Set Shop in New York City. Set Shop will offer them at the same retail price as our site, with the added convenience of being able to order them over the phone or buy them in person.

We're very proud of these cubes, it took months of development to get the look we were going for in a floating cube. We hope you'll like them, too. And don't forget to leave a review on our site when you've tried them for yourself.

Floating Fake Ice Cubes

Check out this vidcap from the movie Fight Club. Note the meticulously styled shot - how the items are all carefully placed in front of Edward Norton, two Gerber daisies in a slender vase to his left. To an experienced eye, it shows that a lot of time and energy went into creating this scene. But something is glaringly wrong: The ice is at the bottom of the glass. It's clearly fake ice, but it doesn't float. Imagine how much better this shot would be if the ice cubes were at the top of the glass. A small detail like that obviously doesn't make or break a movie like Fight Club, but it could have been better.

Now it can be. We just made what we believe to be the most convincing artificial floating ice ever made. The best part is they're inexpensive and last for days of shooting. Worry not about drink continuity again - our floating rubber cubes solve that problem and more. Check them out here: Floating Prop Ice Cubes
